Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Esteghlal football team earned a 2-0 victory over Saipa here at the Azadi Stadium in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
The Iranian popular team, who didn’t start well the new season, moved up to fifth place thanks to two goals from Mohsen Karimi in 76th minute and Jaber Ansari in 82nd minute.
Furthermore, Sepahan defeated Siah Jamegan 2-1, Sanat Naft beat Machine Sazi 3-0, Padideh drew 0-0 with Paykan and Saba played out a goalless draw with Gostaresh.
Persepolis stays top of the table with 19 points, followed by Tractor Sazi and Naft Tehran with 17 and 15 points respectively.
Sanat Naft and Esteghlal are fourth and fifth with 13 points.
