Iran fails to qualify for AFC U-19 Women’s Championship

Loading...Tehran Times – HANOI, Iran was defeated against Vietnam 2-0 in the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship qualification on Sunday.
The Iranian team had already tied with India 1-1 in the event in Group D.
Host Vietnam advanced to the 2017 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship with two wins against India and Iran.
Australia and Uzbekistan also advanced to the competition.
The 2017 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship will be held in China in August 2017.
The top four teams in the 2015 edition of the AFC U-19 Championship — champion Japan, North Korea, South Korea and China — have already received a direct qualification to the tournament.
