Naft Tehran coach Atila Hejazi steps down
Tasnim – TEHRAN, Atila Hejazi resigned as Naft Tehran coach just after two weeks in charge of the Iranian top-flight team.
Hejazi replaced Hamid Derakhshan in the struggling team but quit his job due to financial problems.
Naft Tehran sits four points above the relegation zone.
It is scheduled to face Foolad on Friday.
Attila is the son of the late legendary coach Nasser Hejazi. Atilla Hejazi played for Esteghlal from 1997 to 1999.
The 42-year-old coach has already worked at Iranian teams Aluminum, Mes Kerman, Gostaresh an and Esteghlal as assistant.
