When Carlos Queiroz came to the helm of Iran in 2011, he had already won 26 victories at the helm of Portugal (in 49 matches), 10 ahead of the United Arab Emirates (19 matches) and 10 ahead of South Africa (24 games). In Iran, the Portuguese coach added a total of 90 matches (55 wins, 24 draws and 11 losses)
