anyone who thinks Iran is playing well does not know what football is.
They probably are wrestling fans waving IR flag right now. But
the way Iran played this half is worse than Qatar yesterday.

This has never happened before, us getting humiliated at the WC.

It's not a lineup or player selection decision. It's not like we would be up if Kanani/Saeid played. There is an obvious huge gulf in class and our players are distracted and not fully focused (can't blame them).

We just gotta hope this doesn't get uglier, and hopefully England lets their foot off the gas a bit (we're waving the white flag).

This is an England team that dropped their last 6 matches. Hammered by Hungary 4-0. This was our best chance of ever doing damage to them and CQ got the lineup all wrong. We are slow, not able to pressure in either end, and set pieces are a gift to them. Could easy be 4 or 5-0 right now.

Cheshmi was 100% the cause of goal 3, loses the ball, stops running back to leave sterling wide open. I knew we’d lose when he was in the starting lineup. Big, clumsy and just a bad player. All I can think is Queiroz knew we’d lose and is just throwing this game to try to surprise the other teams, but it’s more likely just terrible lineup choices. See you all in 2026. England will get tired and not beat wales and usa this badly, even if we get 4 points we won’t qualify on goal differential. What a waste.
