PFDC Members - Traveling to Russia

Hi all,
I have started a Whatsapp Group and starting adding PFDC members who will be traveling to Russia. The goal is to have a meet on the day of the event prior to the match. Let me know if you are interested to be added to the group, if so please reply back with your #, or PM your phone#, so I can add you.

buy a sim card when ur in russia. join whatsapp and let's meet up.

actually my wife uses it to communicate with her college buddies in england and another in africa
but mostly texting..!!
can you make calls without incurring international charges using it too..? so assuming someone calls you using that app does it ring and come through like regular phone.?
doesnt your phone has to be Unlocked to just pop in a russian sim card in it and use ?

Yeah, you can make calls using whatsapp. You can even make video calls. You will not incur any charges as long as you have a data plan or are using WiFi because the app uses the internet to send messages/video calls.

so your phone number is the same ? or you get a whatsapp number..?

Yeah your phone number is the same. When someone you have under 'Contacts' in your phone installs whatsapp, on your whatsapp their name will appear and you can contact them through the app.
