by the way, I know its only been 3-4 games in, but man was I right or what about the league improving? minesotta, phili, phoenix, all some pretty surprising results so far
first 5-10 are the same every year they don't mean anything. The sixers will finish bottom of the east and probably the league despite the start and miami will of course finish first despite a 2-2 start. Good teams are sloppy to start off and weaker teams take advantage of it but eventually the good teams take over it happens every year

The Lakers are going to for sure miss the playoffs this year. They got a LUCKY 4th quarter against the Clippers, who are still trying to figure out their defense. The Clippers just ROFLstomped the Rockets and I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Heat on Thursday in Miami, but only because the Heat aren't playing well right now.

The Lakers are only playing semi-decent ball because Kobe isn't there to be the black hole he usually is. Cool bro, shoot the ball 10 times in a triple team, with the 9 misses having a Gasol wide open... Efficient basketball

Players who have impressed me so far:
1- Al Horford: I thought he was a disappointment, never really involved in the game, it seems with Josh Smith gone he has broken out and finally feels comfortable in his position.
2- Klay Thompson: It's raining threes at a 52% hit rate out there so better watch out! This guy has become an efficient volume scorer and he is just getting started.
3- LMA: He usually is very impressive at the beginning of every season but tends to lose his touch later in the season.
4- Andre Drummond: Going through the process maturing into a legit big man, I hope he becomes a force in the paint NBA needs more elite bigs. And of course he is on my fantasy team.
5- Blake Griffin: Is he finally taking his great leap since his rookie season? He was 8-8 from the FT line against the Kings if you could believe that.
I didn't include already established elite players more like those who had something to prove, either to meet high expectations or remove doubt.

          Wow 2 things I didn't know:

          1) Kobe is that great in this stage of his career that he gets triple teamed? Is the opposition that scared of him? Respect!!

          2) had no idea kobes FGis was 10%. with those numbersvhe belongs to the developmental league. I feel bad for him

                1) That's because Phil Jackson would draw plays up to circle three idiot defenders to triple team him. As far as Hall of Famers go, he doesn't deserve a triple team, like LeBron and MJ do.

                2) Uhhh... thats his approximate percentage when he shoots from a triple team, not overall. L 2 Read.

I totally agree with you that if Kobe is done the lakers would suck. It remains to be seen however if he is done or not but the lakers do suck now.
Messy if gasol is so great how come he ain't doin shit now? Gasol is nothing without Kobe. If NBA coaches decide to triple team Kobe maybe there is a reason for that, have you ever stopped to think that? What's next? You are going to tell me messi is better than maradona?
Wevall have our opinions but you can't argue with facts that directly negate the naysayers. Kobe was second in the league amongst non- point guards last years in number of assists. The year before that was 3rd. And if you keep looking the lowest he was, was 6th. That's stat speaks for itself. You are obviously a laker hater judging by what you said in the fantasy thread so I guess I can't take your biased comments seriously. Outside of that I love you bro. Uhhhh, just because he had 3 seasons where he passed the ball well, doesn't erase his reputation of being a ball hog. You don't have to get all aggressive about it. It is what it is. I can tell you about how the Lakers were only a first round playoff team (with Phil Jackson coaching) until Gasol got there. I can tell you about how Gasol playing like crap in the 2011 playoffs lead to the Lakers getting swept by the Mavs. You can't deny those facts. The Lakers getting Gasol in that trade was what put two more banners up on the wall. Kobe wasn't good enough to do it by himself, Gasol wasn't good enough to do it by himself either. Laker fans tend to make it seem like Gasol wasn't important and he was only a minor piece in those two title runs, with Kobe being the "one man show". If it was all Kobe, then how come Kobe couldn't get past the 1st round in the playoffs in 2006 and 2007 (those years are considered to be the middle of his prime), while mid tier teams led by LeBron James and Dwight Howard were able to get to the NBA Finals? (and they had their fair share of strong opponents too, like the Miami Heat and Detriot Pistons for LeBron, and Dwight had to beat the KG/Allen/Rondo/Pierce Celtics, AND LeBron's Cavs) That is a pretty significant counter to the "Kobe is as great as Jordan" argument.

I wubs u 2, but don't get into this argument with me, it won't be pretty...

it won't be pretty cuz you don't have anything logical to say kid! I have forgot more basketball than everyone knows here ...combined!! for your info Kobe has been one of the leaders in assists amongst non-point guards all of his career not just last year.
I kinda find it funny that gasol went 1-10 last night after your comments. Poetic justice in my favor!!
